Marshall Cass Silver tries as nonviolently as possible to maintain the peace in the Kansas border town of Flat Rock, where he lives with his fiancée Sally. Then Honest John Barrett opens a saloon in Flat Rock. Instantly, Cass's tranquility comes to an end, as ghosts from his past resurface with the newcomers. After all, Barrett was the reason Cass had to give up his former job as a marshall in the town of Keystone.
