Beck - De Gesloten Kamer plot

After a lengthy recovery from a gunshot wound, Detective Martin Beck, a 45-year-old divorced police officer, resumes his activities at the head of the Antwerp murder brigade. The body of an old man has been found in a room with one door and no windows, and the door has been locked from the inside. The man was killed by a bullet. However, there is no weapon to be found... Beck does not believe in the commonly held theory of suicide. In solving the case, he comes into conflict with his ambitious colleague Fisher. In the end, he is helped by Monita, a young, divorced mother, who tries to keep her head above water financially through dubious business.
