"To save the past, we must change the future."

In 1815, Tomas Alcala, a monk, accidentally frees the two female demons Munkar and Nakir. They are rushing to the 21st century. Thomas was chosen by God to travel through time and stop the ravages of the demons.

Somehow I understand the disappointment when a name like Clive Barker is attached to the film and the result is not what one is usually used to from these types of projects. On the other hand, it is an above-average horror flick from that period, in which some freaky Barker creatures do make an impression. It has that typical dry, digital early 2000s TV look, which has no flavor whatsoever, but is very easy to entertain with a rather ridiculous plot. Actually typical for this kind of TV movies (SyFy in this case) and that comes with several restrictions. Missed opportunity, but given the 'circumstances' and low expectations, this really wasn't that bad.

A horror story by Clive Barker. Not really great, but still nice for its genre.

Execution is a bit on the mediocre side. Not really exciting and without atmosphere. 6/10
