"The Most Unusual Story Ever Told!"
When a mine explodes, Ralph Burton is buried under the rubble. After a few days he can dig himself out and finds that the whole area is deserted. Some newspapers teach him that the population has fled from an all-destroying nuclear cloud. He crosses paths with Sarah, who, like him, miraculously survived the disaster. A little later, a third survivor shows up, Benson Thacker.
