Amicus anthology. 4 short stories. We'll explore them one by one.

The Gate Crasher: the mirror and a boring predictable beginning.

An Act of Kindness: with a medal, and I think this is a fantastic chapter. Bizarre, mysterious, and a serious WTF factor. Donald Pleasence is in it too. A minor classic.

The Elemental: the snuffbox. Otherwise, a rather silly little hatch, which seems more like some kind of attempt at comedy.

The Door: about a door, of course, with a mysterious room behind it every now and then. A fine story, nicely done, but it doesn't surpass the second part.

2 x nothing, 1 x fine, 1 x magnificent, Half successful but definitely worth watching because of the second story.

A good film in which the somewhat eccentric owner of an antique shop deals with annoying customers. A successful anthology horror film with four excellent stories, all well-structured and united by the antique shop. It's also nice that all the segments take place in the present day (or at least, back then).

The first is the most gruesome, but they are all entertaining horror stories with sometimes a good dose of black humor mixed in, the atmosphere is still different from the short stories we know from their Marican counterparts, such as Twilight Zone the Movie or whatever that other one was called? Tales from the Crypt and there are a few more.

I did enjoy it, the British atmosphere is present and it really feels like an old-fashioned spooky horror movie.
