The Music Videos That Shaped the 80's plot
With the start of MTV in 1981, artists suddenly got a new medium to promote their music. They were given large budgets to make clips, while there were virtually no rules. The video clips were often daring, ambitious and decadent. Artists like Bob Geldof, Herbie Hancock, Roger Taylor and a number of directors analyze sensational clips, from Queen's 'I Want to Break Free' to Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean', to 'Video Killed the Radio Star' by The Buggles, the very first video shown on MTV. Clips from Bon Jovi, The Boomtown Rats, The Cure, David Bowie and Duran Duran are also featured.
