In Burbank, the young James Dean takes his first acting steps in April 1954 in a film by Elia Kazan. Despite his lack of experience, James has the upper hand on set, antagonizing his famous opponent Raymond Massey. However, director Kazan accepts his protégé's behavior because of his unparalleled talent. James' difficult nature is the result of the loss of his mother at the age of 9, which resulted in the secretive boy growing up with his aunt. He has hardly any contact with his father and when he visits him as a teenager, their relationship is very difficult. James' star shoots up in the movie firmament like a comet, but his tormented soul finds no rest...
