Der Sandmann plot
Henry Kupfer spent eight years in prison for the murder of a prostitute. After his release, he caused a furore as a celebrated writer. He wants to promote his new book in a talk show. All kinds of prostitutes are also being murdered at the same time. When TV journalist Ina meets him, she is fascinated by him but also despises him. She is soon convinced that he is not only writing about murders, but also committing them. She smells a scoop and prepares to expose it on her show....
