Untold Mr. T: I Pity the Fool plot

This documentary chronicles the story behind the image of the man with the mohawk, the gold chains, and the famous catchphrase. Born the youngest son in a family of twelve children, Tureaud grew up in one of Chicago's poorest neighborhoods. The documentary follows his remarkable path to fame: from his time in the army and his work as a bouncer and celebrity bodyguard, to the tough-man competitions that eventually landed him in Hollywood. There, he broke through with his role as Clubber Lang in Rocky III and became a cult hero thanks to the hit series The A-Team.

"I pity the fool!" The hero of my youth. Beautiful documentary about a man from the ghetto who put himself in the spotlight with his looks and demeanor. Not a great actor, but a determined man who believed in himself.

The documentary shows in a nutshell how he became this hero, but that his fame also took a wrong turn. It is wonderful that, at 74, he can still personally recount his youth and his deeds, although I would have liked to see more.

If you are that famous, surely more footage must have been preserved. Especially from his A-Team days. An extra half hour would have been nicer. In any case, it was fun to watch.
