The Prophecies of Nostradamus plot

The sixteenth-century mystic Michel Nostradamus made many predictions that came true. However, he formulated them in cryptic quatrains to avoid being accused of witchcraft. Moreover, he stated that his predictions were not inescapable. This offers two ways out if his predictions do not come true: either his text has been misunderstood, or his prediction has been avoided.
