War Dawgz plot
Set in Compton, California, stoic military father Rocker returns from deployment to find his community under siege by a mysterious foreign force. When all communications are lost, churchgoers, mechanics, teachers, police, and even rival gang members rally around Rocker as a center of resistance to defend their streets. Meanwhile, his son Trent and Trent's girlfriend hatch a daring plan to restore communication and reach the Pentagon.

A terrible action film. The story is a weak version of Red Dawn and far too ambitious to pull off on a limited budget. This results in a very amateurish vehicle. There's little buildup and no character development. The action quickly shifts to a dramatic level. The acting is nothing to write home about. Beach is okay, but the rest, phew. Visually, the film doesn't really score either, with occasionally awkward camera shots, cheap set design, and limited settings. 1.5
