Fifteen-year-old Sem [Kylian De Pager-Colin] finds a way to worm his way into the life of his idol Wesley [Ko Zandvliet], a gamer and influencer struggling to maintain his online image due to mental health issues. When Wesley realizes his manager [Damaris De Jong] is being manipulated by Sem at his expense, idol and fanboy find themselves at odds. Intended as a warning against obsessions with influencers and the potential dangers of AI, the acting is weak and poorly developed. The attitude of Sem's parents, in particular, is completely unbelievable.

Potentially a fine film, especially in terms of its theme. However, the film repeatedly opts for somewhat implausible plot developments, making the ending (which is okay) unconvincing. The acting, especially by De Pagter, doesn't help either; he opts for a somewhat restrained style that is primarily alienating. It worked in Straf, but not here. 2.0*.
