Four eccentric young women find themselves in a mysterious world that never truly reveals itself, but director Meredith Alloway makes a great deal of effort to portray it as interesting, but to no avail. Everything about this setting feels forced and insincere, as if the filmmakers were more concerned with reconstructing alienating dialogue and quirky lines than with a stable concept. Horror enthusiasts will walk away the most disappointed of all target audiences, as it takes nearly 85 minutes before anything happens in this regard, aside from a few scattered references to witchcraft. Overall, the acting is convincing and the finale is quite bloody, but Alloway fails to shake off the cheap impression and, partly as a result, does not achieve the intended success.

The secret cult of three witches—colleagues in a luxury shopping mall—gets a new candidate member [Lola Turng] who is hiding a secret. As she tries to prove herself, their relationships come under strain. For a long time, it is more of a mild black comedy. Only in the final quarter does Alloway let loose with a strong display of Grand Guignol.
