Anna is a young woman who has given up her dream of becoming a chef and is now struggling through her twenties with a series of bad choices. When Anna loses her house-sitting job (and her home) in one fell swoop, a chance encounter with Matteo, a handsome Italian who happens to own a vacant villa in Tuscany, inspires her to move to Italy, against the advice of her always honest best friend Claire.

A harmless movie that plays it so safe that all the beautiful locations, friendly charming actors, delicious food and wine on screen, and good intentions cannot prevent the film from sometimes moving a bit slowly and becoming boring. Best example? Quite early in the film, an attractive young woman says hello to Halle Bailey in a somewhat passive-aggressive manner, and as a viewer, you know immediately: this is an ex of that macho Italian, and at the end, they get together so that everyone is happy: Bailey with Page and that Italian with that woman. And that is exactly what happens. A shame, because there is certainly potential for more genuine moments, but this is wrapped in such a veneer that it fails to convince. 2.5*.
