Exciting but a very simple thriller about the tough police officer (à la Sean Penn in "Colors", I thought) who, due to circumstances, comes to a certain point of reflection, finds love and puts a heart into his life.
It's a shame that the film doesn't maintain the level of the beginning.

Good film in which a tough cop from the city gets a job in the countryside. The cynicism of the main character shines through, and the switch may come a little too quickly. Nevertheless, the characters are well portrayed, the combination of thriller and drama works excellently here. Bernard Herrmann's tension-increasing music is more than effective.
