Seen as a preview, I don't often watch horror films and so I might be more easily impressed, but this horror-comedy was, for me, very successful entertainment. It sounded like the audience was regularly in stitches (at least the majority of the audience).

A film that just keeps getting better. I hated the first 15 minutes or so; McAdams plays far too much of a character, and she's never believable. She's awkward, and that's probably intentional, but she takes it way too far. O'Brien, on the other hand, plays the jerk, and he doesn't do it very convincingly either; he also lays it on too thick. The film as a whole never really recovers from that.

Still, it's fun how horror is brought into the film at such a location, and the film really has its own unique vibe and look. The further the film goes, the more Raimi seems to be enjoying himself. I still get some occasional laughs (with that wild boar), but not enough for a higher score. 3.0*.

Wow, thanks to the good comments, I took a chance after all.

Not my cup of tea, it was more of a comedy and Raimi just couldn't find the right tone.

A big *2.5 because of the one scene that reminded me of Evil Dead 2.
