I was a bit disappointed. It all looks pretty decent, but I honestly didn't find the story all that captivating. Fanning was also a bit of a letdown; she's not a bad actor, but (in my opinion) she can't carry the film on her own. I also didn't think the suspense was great, and I saw the jump scares coming from miles away. Not good enough.

Starts almost immediately with the creepiness, and talk about a serious moment for our main character. Uneasy words have been spoken between our characters, and now it appears to be that the threats have some validity to them. This is sufficiently creepy, and I love this film barely 30 minutes in so far.

The cruelty and mind games are plenty in this film, with painful memories once hidden being brought into the light once again.

The emotional brutality of this film is matched by physical brutality.

The film has made itself my new Dakota Fanning project.

A mixed horror film, but certainly not bad. The story is quite good with its dual layers, but it's not entirely without questions. The execution is reasonably successful. The tension is built up well, and the film never bores. As for horror, there are a few decent scenes. The jump scares are a bit predictable, though. Towards the end, things don't get any clearer, which doesn't really work in this film. Fanning carries the film reasonably well. 3.5
