Regretting You (2025)

Morgan [Allison Williams] loses her husband [Scott Eastwood] and her sister [Willa Fitzgerald] on the same day and discovers that they have been having an extramarital affair for years. Morgan keeps this a secret from her teenage daughter Clara [Mckenna Grace], who finds her first love in Miller [Mason Thames]. Morgan also hides secret feelings she has harbored for years for Jenny's husband, Jonah [David Franco], who is now left to care for his newborn son on his own. The ending isn't a huge surprise, but the obstacles she has to overcome to get there are intelligently crafted, and the cast delivers a strong performance. Sam Morelos provides a welcome lighthearted performance as Clara's best friend, Lexie.

I thought the book was very good, but unfortunately the film was a huge disappointment. Too long, too.

James Franco looked so incredibly troubled the whole time... I like him a lot, but this role was apparently not suitable for him.

And as a fan of the book, I did miss the video segments a bit, which made the ending have less meaning for me.
