Een Vrouw als Monique plot

Actress Monique van de Ven arrives at her seaside vacation home to prepare for her new film about an aging actress. She's brought scrapbooks filled with memories from her impressive oeuvre of more than fifty films. Images of the woman in her beach house echo images from her films, and images from her films intertwine with events from her own life. When a young man with a broken bicycle arrives at her house, they strike up a conversation. His youthful open-mindedness and curiosity challenge her to delve deeper into her career and the stories behind it.

Monique van de Ven retreats to a fisherman's cottage on the French coast to prepare for a film about an aging actress reflecting on her career.
