Truth & Treason plot

Helmuth Hübener, a 16-year-old boy, forms a resistance group with his friends Karl and Rudi after witnessing the arrest of his Jewish friend by the Nazis. Armed with nothing but a typewriter and the truth, they wage a silent war against Hitler's regime. They decipher enemy messages, smuggle classified information, and dismantle the Nazi empire from within. Their courageous actions lead to their trial before the Supreme Court of Nazi Germany.

impressive film.

It's just a pity the Germans spoke English.

otherwise the movie would have been even better

Since the film was based on a true story, it actually becomes even more impressive.

a must see for fans of these kinds of resistance films.

A good film about the silent uprising against the Hitler regime by the German youth.

It has been painfully made clear that sailing against the current during the heyday of Nazi Germany was not appreciated.

Small detail: the film is set in 1942 and the large-scale Allied bombing of Hamburg only started in July 1943.

Although the story is filmed smoothly with the necessary tension and drama, the biggest drawback is the English language, which makes the whole film unbelievable.

Why they didn't simply choose German-speaking actors remains a mystery to me; it would certainly only enhance the credibility of this film.
