A King like Me plot

This documentary offers an inside look at the cultural monolith that is New Orleans’ Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club Incorporated. Founded in 1916, the organization is the first predominantly Black krewe known for its community work and historic Zulu parades during Mardi Gras. The film follows its diverse membership as they work to bring the Zulu parade back to the streets for Mardi Gras in 2022, despite a global pandemic, Hurricane Ida, and loss of members to disease and gun violence.
