Tad Volo, a former sniper with the Army Rangers, has recently retired and purchased a ranch in a remote area. Three months later, he throws a housewarming party. Among the guests are his younger sister Zoe, his girlfriend Dani and her sister Tara, as well as his best friend and former comrade Buckley. What begins as an evening of reconnection suddenly turns into a nightmare when an unseen entity takes over Zoe's innocent nature and possesses her.

A bare, unexciting horror film with an unconvincing cast. iPossessed sounds more interesting from the start than it ultimately is and also takes a surprisingly long time to build. Directing duo Jerry Sommer and Carl Rimi try to inject color into the film by deploying a drawn-out drama around heavy themes, but in doing so, they forget to build the tension. Once the threat looms, the viewer is left waiting for the real unraveling. Despite a few solid kills and surprising twists, the ending never quite convinces and is often even quite dull, preventing the rating from going any higher than this.
