Two couples who are friends have been sharing a holiday home in the Austrian Alps for years. When their teenage daughters are involved in an accident during a joint holiday, their apparent friendship quickly crumbles. Old wounds and pent-up frustrations drive the parents further and further apart when they hear that one daughter can be saved, but only if the other girl is given up. What starts as a moral dilemma degenerates into an absurd battle full of manipulation and desperate actions in which the boundaries of decency become even more blurred. Because when it comes to your child, anything goes. Or does it?

There are certainly some nice moments, and the story is quite good, but unfortunately the hysterical acting is so unbelievable and distracting that the emotion the film is supposed to evoke is unfortunately not felt by the viewer.

A beautiful film about two families who vacation together every year in the Austrian Alps. The film kicks off with a stunning opening shot that never lets up. A beautiful story with a compelling dilemma that tests the friendship between the couples. Subtle humor here and there without sacrificing the drama. Excellent performances from the four leads.
I can see an American remake in a few years.
