Teenager Cameron [Donovan Colan] is traumatized by the abusive behavior of his father (a truly terrifying Kris Holden-Ried). He and his mother [Kathleen Munroe] move frequently to prevent his father from tracking them down. This time, they end up on a farmhouse where Cameron has visions in which he speaks with the ghost of a boy [Asher Grayson] who was himself a victim of abuse in which the dogs of the title played a key role. Cameron is convinced he is in danger, his mother believes he cannot distinguish dreams from reality. Who is right? This poorly written, melodramatic horror film is explicitly inspired by Stephen King, but without success.
