Tenzing plot

In 1953, five attempts were made to reach what was once thought impossible: the summit of the world's highest mountain, Mount Everest. On the sixth attempt, Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary, both outsiders on a British expedition, faced insurmountable obstacles to reach their goal. Before beginning the most important climb of his life, Tenzing had to navigate treacherous politics and dangerous weather conditions.

A good film in which a Sherpa gets the chance to climb to the summit of Mount Everest with a British expedition. A beautiful true story about the first successful ascent of Everest from the perspective of Sherpa Tenzing Norgay. Stunning images of Nepal, but the whole thing stays a bit too conventional. For example, there could have been more to the story regarding the relationships between the Sherpas and the foreigners. A barely passing 3.5 stars for this otherwise entertaining film.
