A disappointing film about a man and woman who meet at a wedding. A quirky, dreamy rom-com with a trip down memory lane. Unfortunately, it doesn't really work, and the characters and dialogue failed to captivate me. It quickly became tedious and simply dull. There was also no real chemistry between Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie.

They accompany each other on a magical journey through key moments in their lives, getting to know each other, and so on. A rather decent magical-realist drama, on paper, is missing one crucial element: magic. Farrell and Robbie make it worth watching, but Kogonoda's deliberate pacing and forced attempts at sentimentality only work at the denouement. The rest is a matter of persevering.

I thought it was decent. It's an original story. Both characters have different reasons for being single, and the chemistry between Farrell and Robbie is also excellent. You can tell they get along well. I suspect this is a kind of magical realism or surrealist elements. Of course, it could never really happen that way, but that's what makes it fantastical. There's a certain romantic tension. You could call it predictable, because their path seems to be mapped out by some car entity. 6/10 for me.
