The Quilters plot

In Licking, Missouri, a quilting group in a maximum-security men’s prison sews birthday quilts for every foster child in the county. Through this process and the powerful relationships that are formed, these men are transformed, their sense of self shifting and their relationship to the community outside the prison that had long forgotten them.
