Cold Storage (2026)

Simply enjoyable. The film takes a while to get going (apart from the opening) and never really takes off (it could have used a lot more silliness), but it does get better as it goes along. Neeson is excellent in this lighthearted role, and the film has that typical, easy-on-the-eyes quality that makes me less bothered by ugly CGI. And it's great that at the end an actual nuclear bomb is detonated (although that fire through those corridors makes no sense; the whole area is vaporized within a millisecond). 3.0*.

If you are familiar with David Koepp's book of the same name, this is a slight disappointment, although quite okay. The plot, characters, humor, and build-up of suspense are just a bit weaker in this film, even though the script is also by Koepp. However, the cast does a good job and the predominantly gory special effects are very entertaining.

A decent film in which a young man hears a high-pitched sound during his night shift at a storage unit rental company. The story, with its fairly predictable plot, isn't particularly remarkable. Nevertheless, this is an entertaining, comedic horror film that strikes the right tone, features fun characters, and has a fine setting.
