I Know What You Did Last Summer plot
After five friends accidentally cause a fatal car crash, they keep their secret about their involvement and decide to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their pasts come flooding back, forcing them to confront the horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer and is determined to get revenge. As the friends are stalked one by one by a killer, they discover that it has happened before. They turn to Julie James and Ray Bronson, who previously survived a massacre in 1997, for help.

I expected this one to be much better.
They could have shortened this film considerably, which might have increased the suspense a lot.

Early on in the film I had an idea who it could be and it was, what a shame.
But there are already too many of these kinds of films, so you already start to know the tricks.
The actors were decent, but the horror was very mediocre.

A mediocre rework and sequel to the original film, with a longer runtime and mediocre kills. Unlike other installments, this one, directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, doesn't opt for a heavy-handed approach, but rather a serious story with subtle drama. Robinson assembles a competent cast, among which Madelyn Cline and Chase Sui Wonders easily stand out from the "old guard." Freddie Prinze Jr., in particular, seems to have completely forgotten how to show emotion, even though his character should be crucial to the story. Furthermore, despite a drawn-out progression, it all looks quite enjoyable and professional, but in the context of horror, it's a bit tame. The premise is well-intentioned and at times ambitious, but unfortunately, the final result is disappointing.
