Der Schatten des Herrn Monitor plot

When Thomas Gossip visits his old friend Christoph Monitor after two years, he is shocked to find that he is married to his great love Petra. Out of blind jealousy, he plots revenge. Thomas gets what he wants when he accidentally meets a man with financial worries, who looks exactly like Christoph. He uses the man for his dark plan with the aim of falsely accusing Christoph of all kinds of crimes, so that he disappears behind bars, in the hope that Petra will return to him.
