Brick plot

Hamburg couple Tim and Olivia are trapped in their own flat at night by an impenetrable black wall. They are trapped, just like the neighbours in their house, who suffer the same fate. Together they desperately search for a way out of this trap. But the more they learn about the mysterious wall, the clearer it becomes that the solution to their riddle could not only mean their salvation, but also an even greater danger.

This wasn't good. Bad acting, no suspense, illogical decisions, and I couldn't connect with the main characters at all. You can skip this one as far as I'm concerned.

An intriguing German thriller about a bickering couple trapped in their Hamburg apartment by an impenetrable black wall. The mysterious plot unfolds thrillingly, and the characters aren't too annoying. It's also well-made, with a lot of attention paid to the production design of the various apartments.

A decent thriller. The story is well-conceived but ultimately a bit too much of a good thing. The execution is just about right. It takes a little getting used to at the beginning, but after half an hour the film grabs you and manages to keep you captivated until the very end. Not that it's nerve-wracking, but still suspenseful enough, and plenty happens despite the limited space. The ending could have been better. The cinematography is otherwise very strong. The acting is passable. 3.0

Our opening is filled with personal tragedy for our main characters, they desperately need something new for their relationship to thrive. As bewildering as this is, it's actually kind of exciting in a bizarre way.

New characters enter the picture and they're in the same situation, they've been injured in their attempt at freedom.

Again we've new characters, they seem just as lost and the terror of what's happening is strong to set in for them all.

With our now newest charter we see that all is not what it seems, deception and mayhem is upon them all now.

This is sci-fi at its most imaginative, and it's something entirely more than meet the eye, with technology playing the biggest role.
