Difficult subject of course, if you actually accidentally discover that your father is also into men
Yet this story is beautifully and calmly told in this tele-movie that always addresses "human" topics.
Was in doubt between 2.5 and 3 stars.
Ending was a bit abrupt.
I think this could have been explored a bit further, then the ending would have been better

17-year-old Tommy [Pier Bonnema] is sad about the fact that his first homosexual love has rejected him. At the insistence of his mother [Hanneke Scholten], Tommy goes to work in his father's [Rienus Krul] workshop. By chance, Tommy reads an email correspondence from his father that confuses him, hurts him and presents him with a major dilemma. Tilanus (who also wrote the screenplay) tells this great little family drama in a refreshing, modest way and thus sketches a picture of a family in which communication is primarily a means to seek reconciliation and not melodramatic confrontation. The absence of explicit emotions is daring, but the result is captivating and above all very authentic.

Not a fan of Dutch movies but this was one of the better ones. The struggle after Tom discovered his father had been "cheating" was beautifully portrayed.
