On Dress Parade plot
A World War I hero, Colonel William Duncan, is on his deathbed. He calls his old friend, Colonel Mitchell Riker, to ask him to care for his son Slip when he dies. Riker agrees, and when Duncan dies, Slip, who does not want to leave the neighborhood where he grew up, is tricked into attending the military school that Riker presides over.
