Granite Hotel plot

It’s the age of the dinosaurs, but the local cavemen have a few modern innovations. The anachronistic Grantite Hotel has a telephone operator who mostly moans that “nothing ever happens.” Guests are showered with ice water, dressed in bearskins, and escorted to their respective floors. The fire department dismantles the hotel while the operator still claims that “nothing ever happens.”
