The Bibi Files plot

Israel's longest-serving prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is the target of corruption charges. The documentary uses leaked recordings of interrogations of people close to Netanyahu to paint a picture of how the prime minister is acting aggressively and, instead of retreating, is digging in deeper and forging new coalitions with far-reaching consequences.

A documentary about the corruption scandals of a political leader. If that's not a pleonasm.

Interesting enough, though the revelations aren't all that shocking. Bribes of 10,000 shekels, Cuban cigars costing $1,100 a box, expensive champagne, and a tacky $42,000 bracelet for Mrs. Netanyahu. Sara, it turns out, is the evil genius behind Bibi. We see her shouting over police interrogations and discover that she's unbearable when sober. Meanwhile, Bibi remains relatively calm in her denial and has no active memory of the accusations.

The right-wing extremist son, Yair, is then presented as another influencer of the prime minister. By creating an unstable political situation, war, and an alliance with the far right, Bibi hopes to remain in power and thus avoid a trial. This is the suggestion of the commentators, who, with the exception of a childhood friend, consist entirely of opponents and critics. Yes, it is indeed one-sided. The fact that the documentary filmmaker felt it necessary to illustrate Netanyahu's political course with a cartoon featuring Smotrich and Ben-Gvir as puppeteers is in particularly bad taste. Influential Jews playing the government is a time-honored antisemitic trope. Consequently, the documentary doesn't go much further than some gossip and dubious conspiracy theories.
