A newly widowed woman [Benedict Cumberbatch] struggles to balance grieving with raising his two energetic young sons [Henry and Richard Boxall]. He finds an outlet in drawing a crow [Eric Lampaert, voiced by David Thewlis], which becomes the manifestation of his grief. This complex, depressing bereavement drama is reminiscent of Birdman, but lacking irony or humor, it's more bizarre than moving.
