Unter den Tausend Laternen plot

Elisa Lorenz, the star of the new revue "Grossstadtnächte", visits the successful song composer Fred Apel one evening, but finds him lying on the floor of his apartment. In panic, she immediately leaves the apartment and seeks help from the lyricist Braun and his wife. In the meantime, the police suspect murder and question the theatre company. When Betty Braun finds a music tape and plays it for her husband, everything seems to indicate that the young composer Michel Dumas is the perpetrator.
