Nice smooth drama with a touch of humor. The story is simple but Shaffner knows how to do a great job with it. He knows how to keep the balance between drama and comedy in check. It is not too dramatic and the humor is not forced, but fitting, so now and then a small smile. As a viewer you keep wondering during the film whether it will ever be okay and how. Unfortunately the last is a bit too easy and abrupt. A bit too American unfortunately. Furthermore Meyer is wonderfully on a roll and the chemistry between all the main characters is fine. Surprising, somewhat brainless snack. 3.5

Dina Meyer, whom we all still remember from her role as Dizzy Flores in Starship Troopers. She is just as beautiful as she was back then; those few wrinkles suit her well—better than they suit me. Perhaps Starship Troopers was her most successful role, but this is surely her best, because as an actress she has grown much more than you can count on those aforementioned wrinkles.

The film is delightfully unconventional, delightfully vicious, and ill-mannered—straight from the land of Jerry Springer, you might almost think. But it does have a lot more depth, and on top of that, my uncle's car, even if he had a blue one. Still, by far the most beautiful BMW ever. Could it have been a notch higher? Yes, as far as I'm concerned, but small victories. It remains a film from the land of unlimited possibilities, so you shouldn't expect too much from it.
