Despite his age still indestructible, although he does take it all a bit more lightheartedly in the run-up to the concerts. The Boss still has a lot of faith in his 'old buddies' after all those decades, and trusts that everything will turn out well. And rightly so, what musicians.

The documentary is a nice insight into life behind the scenes, interspersed with a few Springsteen songs during the concerts and the little stories about life then versus now. It was a nice watch. Bruce Springsteen is and remains a thoroughbred artist. Too bad I missed the concert series in the Netherlands.

I love The Boss' music and last year I finally saw him live but I was a bit disappointed. The show lasted three hours and it was tight and well put together but every form of spontaneity was gone (only a moment when Springsteen stumbled was spontaneous) which meant there was little experience despite the quality (and all kinds of talking people who can't just keep their mouths shut for three hours).

Well, this documentary is somewhat similar in terms of experience. Not bad, quite informative and still enough nice music to see but also very solid and made without any experience. This thing is really thirteen out of a dozen where the subject still interests me so that the documentary can be watched but that's it. 2.5*.
