"A team of underdogs, with the spirit of champions."
It’s 2002 and Bobby Ratliff is the head coach of a youth baseball team in Fort Worth, Texas. Along with his old friend Jon, he oversees children struggling to play baseball, including their sons. When Bobby is hit hard by a cancer diagnosis and faces an uncertain future with his wife Patti, Jon is approached by a baseball executive to help reassemble the team so they can compete in an upcoming tournament. While Jon reluctantly accepts the challenge, Bobby desperately tries to see the team in action while battling a devastating illness.
