Just saw it on TV and I think it's a very impressive documentary. As a Swan Lake fan, I was really looking forward to this, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The beginning of the documentary felt a bit fragmented and chaotic, but this quickly gave way to a growing amazement and respect for the dancers. What a top-level sport this is! I knew it was intense, but this truly defies the imagination. You can rightly wonder if it's all worth it. The health the dancers have to sacrifice to achieve the impossible, which still doesn't seem good enough for Karen, is incredibly demanding. She seems to me to be a very perfectionist, and without this trait, you might never be able to achieve what you get. But whether it always remains acceptable... I have my own experiences with victims of narcissists. Not that I accuse her of this, far from it.

At times, you really doubt whether the entire show can go ahead and be a success. I think both Karen and the choreographer were also very concerned about it. But the result is impressive. And it must have been more than stunning, with a standing ovation as a more than deserved thank you. I've seen Swan Lake myself, and I think this performance must have been world-class.

I especially hope the dancers, the corps, receive proper pay and rave reviews that will help them further their careers. Respect to everyone! And what a beautiful documentary. Even for those not immediately interested in dance or ballet, it's definitely recommended. To my surprise, there haven't been more votes here yet, and it's a shame about the lower score so far.
