Moth Winn [Jason Isaacs] suffers from Corticobasal Degeneration, a terminal brain disorder that affects the ability to move, remember and speak. Moth and his wife Raynor [Gillian Anderson] have lost almost all their money and embark on a long, multi-day hike along the English southwest coast. Beautiful, romantic pictures of a part of England where time seems to have stood still in many ways. Moth and Raynor meet various people along the way and face setbacks, but there is hardly any story or personal development. The regularly swelling strings are supposed to make us believe that it is all very moving, but that is a bit disappointing.

I'll just skip walking movies from now on. It felt like LOTR to me but without the magic.

Good film about a couple who lose their house and decide to go for a walk. Based on a beautiful, true story about a physical and emotional journey. An excellent first part with well-functioning flashbacks. After this a bit more monotonous, but the film remains entertaining because of the constantly beautiful pictures of the English coast and a beautiful role of Gillian Anderson.
