Really an entertaining Venom after two previous dragons. Especially between Venom and Hardy the interactions are funny (only in the beginning in that bar the humor is rather infantile) but also with that hippie family it is fun at times because it is so awkward. Furthermore the enemy is also a bit more interesting. Nice to see Juno Temple again (where has she been?) only she gets a somewhat superfluous role in my opinion where there is little in and even less is made of.

Very superficial further, little blood and exactly one fuck (or actually motherfucker) to stay in the PG13 rating. The film is just a bit tame. The action is also nowhere really spectacular and visually a bit boring (except for one beautiful panorama shot above Vegas). But oh well, I was not bored for a moment and that is also nice sometimes. 3.0*.

Venom: The Last Dance a movie from the franchise with enough action and especially the necessary humor. The humor is so good because of the chemistry between Venom and his host Tom Hardy. The story itself leaves something to be desired.

This is pretty mediocre stuff.

The first act is still pretty good, although that exposition is too crunchy for words in the beginning. The dialogues between Venom and Eddie have been very entertaining for three films and what keeps the films going.

But the script is again so incredibly meaningless. The second act of the film makes no sense. Dumb luck with hippies in a van and a Las Vegas trip that ends in a cringe-inducing way with an ABBA dance. Completely unnecessary, retarded and a waste of time.

The third act has a bit more action. But actually the large-scale enemy is not present and we make do with his dogs. It certainly sets up something for a new Spider-Man film, but here it is really useless. The film has more of those weird fillers in addition to the previously mentioned fillers, such as a captured symbiote that is purely there for the exposition, just like the scientists. What a lot of nonsense you get presented with again. The last act has a bit more pace, but it all feels so empty.

Of course it's all easy to watch. But this extremely mediocre ending is still disappointing.

And then you're also watching a trailer for Kraven the Hunter before the movie. No one is waiting for that
