A film that looks boring and repetitive, but because of the theme it should be praised for that. That is exactly the clue of the film where people in an unenviable position have to do mind-numbing jobs, but hardly have any other perspectives. Not in the company, but also not elsewhere.

The company's policy was also cringe-worthy. You get a candy bar there if you are the employee of the week. How humiliating is that. Who wants that? And a little later you have to go to an audience in a group and a few CEOs explain how well the company is doing (thanks to them) ...

The most poignant was the job interview. I felt so sorry for the not so bad looking Aurora. We don't learn much about her background, but a good guy with a good job, it seems like the only thing that can save her...

Aurora [Joana Santos] has come to the UK in the hope of a better life, but finds herself stuck in a mind-numbing job as an order picker in a distribution centre, struggling to pay the bills she shares with her housemates. An application for a job in care gives her some hope, but in the days leading up to her interview Aurora struggles with the financial and mental pressures. An atmospheric, ultra-realistic portrait of a young immigrant whose lack of appreciation and self-worth causes her to lose her grip on the few social contacts she has at work and beyond. There is a hopeful, moving ending, but it could have been a lot more compact.

A good film about a Portuguese woman who works as an order picker in a large warehouse in Scotland. A slice-of-life film shot without any embellishment (there's no music, for example). A bit monotonous, but that's also part of the life of the rather tragic protagonist (who is beautifully and subtly portrayed by Joana Santos).
