Iron-strong crime film of Belgian make! I suspect not in the Dutch cinemas and that is a pity. The film title does the film full justice. "Se traîner", dragging oneself along, but with great speed.

Trying to earn a living as a small independent, you have to deal with the local mafia. Mady is tricked after a routine job and what follows is a real rollercoaster through the streets of Brussels.

In the background you have demonstrations for BLM and indirectly they influenced Mady's choice. Strong and convincing acting and above all beautifully filmed. You won't find much better in this genre on a local level. Recommended!

Exciting movie that unfortunately doesn't do much special. Actually it doesn't do anything special. It's nice for me that it's set in Brussels because I've been there a lot but for the rest it doesn't have much substance. Is Brussels really used a lot? No, well a little but it could just as well be set in another city. I do like crime movies in the big city so I'm quickly satisfied. Unfortunately there are too many Hollywood clichés in this movie and especially the bad guys but that ending is also terrible. Too many Hollywood elements in this French/Belgian movie. That makes it mediocre but still entertaining. The main character isn't cliché and is a pretty good actor but all the other actors and situations are all Hollywoodesque and that's boring and predictable.

Nice thriller. The story is simple but good food for enough tension. The execution is reasonable. The introduction is good and the tension is quickly built up. The film contains a number of wonderfully exciting scenes. Unfortunately it becomes a bit long-winded, which means that the rollercoaster of the first half of the film slows down a bit towards the end. The theatrical ending was not necessary. Visually nice and raw and fitting with the whole atmosphere and setting of the film. The acting is otherwise good. 3.0/3.5
