Harold and the Purple Crayon plot

In his book, the adventurous Harold can make anything come to life by simply drawing it. After growing up and drawing himself from the pages of the book into the physical world, Harold discovers that he still has a lot to learn about real life and that his trusty purple crayon can do more hilarious pranks than he thought possible. When the power of unlimited imagination falls into the wrong hands, Harold and his friends will need all their creativity to save both the real world and his own.

I was pleasantly surprised by the film. While I expected something very childish, it was also quite enjoyable for older audiences. Great characters, a funny story (I didn't know it was based on a children's book), and well-crafted. Even Zachary Levi wasn't too bad. Based on the trailer, I expected a seriously annoying character, but appearances can be deceiving.
Great film for young and old.

Apparently not that well-known or loved here, but still a very nice children's film that adults can enjoy watching too. With the power of imagination and a pencil in hand, you can travel throughout the country. Naturally, lighthearted entertainment with a mini-message. And purple just happens to be my favorite color.
