Mlodosc Chopina plot

A story about the formative years in Chopin's life between 1825 and 1831, a time of social unrest across Europe, of rising nationalism and cries for reform. Chopin, an excellent student of music and inflamed by the revolutionary spirit in his native Poland, gives a number of concerts that are praised by the aristocracy. His fame grows, he goes on tour and while in Vienna he hears of the November Uprising in Warsaw. He makes an attempt to return and join the battle, but his carriage breaks down and he is brought back sick. Warned by his doctor, he lives a quieter life in Paris and continues his work.

Unfortunately, the quality of the available video is far from optimal. At one point the image almost disappears, returning just in time for the Revolutionary Étude! There is nothing wrong with the audio. Chopin always sounds good In addition, Czeław Wołłejko in the role of the famous composer is a pleasure to watch. A cheerful, charming and attractive young man who will eventually immerse himself in melancholy and homesickness due to the political events in his homeland.

Despite a few historical untruths, a worthy biography of director and screenwriter Aleksander Ford. For the sake of dramatization and heroism, the story could use some embellishment. For example, as a cadet, Fryderyk did not take part in the storming of the palace of the Russian Tsar's brother and in fact made no attempt to join the battle. His close friend Tytus Woyciechowski advised him against this. With the warm embraces, Ford does not shy away from the homoerotic tension between the two. And that's nice to see in 1952. The ending is a somewhat forced historical mash-up in which the Polish national anthem changes into the French one and we are treated to Marianne's bare chest.
