One Percenter plot

Film actor Takuma Toshiro wants to make a real action film, but his old-fashioned approach does not fit in with the conventions of a film industry dominated by computer effects and speed. When he arrives on set to make his ideal action movie, two rival yakuza arrive looking for a hidden stash of drugs. A massacre ensues and Takuma is caught between real violence and real action. While the majority of the film crew is paralyzed with fear, Takuma sees a lot of extras in the yakuza that he can beat up for free on camera.

Cool.

Nice new one from Yamaguchi, who this time uses the action card. The film reminded me a bit of JCVD in terms of design. Not because Sakaguchi really plays himself, but because he plays a character that I think is close to his own personality.

The premise is quite fun (and quite original), but in the end this is a typical brawler, in which Sakaguchi can once again show his skills. It's different from the typical martial arts, but it's certainly entertaining, with the help of some fun villains too.

Visually very neat (with striking camera work), the acting is also decent, especially for an action film, but I thought the soundtrack was a bit too dead. Fans of action films will certainly not be bored, the rest would probably be better off skipping the film.
