This fourth film is all action and spectacle. General Ohki, the general with the widest epaulets I have ever seen, is given a central role for the first time in the wildest of battlefields to take on his nemesis, Hoken. The history of the hatred between the two is explained in detail. The adoration for Ohki is once again at an all-time high.
Not knowing the manga, it's not clear to me whether this is the last Kingdom film or not, especially since the ending isn't exactly a happy ending for the Qin empire.

The Shin character is a bit more on the sidelines than in the previous films and I was kind of happy about that, because I find that actor very annoying. It was an intense fourth film, but the whole series is inconsistent in quality for me. Sometimes too much show and too much nonsense. For example, the battle is suddenly interrupted to go and support a duel between two generals... Then in the first film there were fantasy elements that then disappear completely in the following films.
