Family man Sergio, cornered by debt, decides to take advantage of a coincidence and an unpredictable circumstance to disappear. An interesting premise in which a father has himself declared dead and builds a new life in another country in order to cheat on the insurance company. It is also a way to get out of debt. You can hardly call it altruistic, because all in all he simply abandons his family. They don't even know anything.
But it did seem interesting. With the emphasis on "seemed". Furthermore, the rest of the film is extremely boring and few dilemmas or difficult moments are developed to make it a strong drama. The main character is not very sympathetic and everyone leads their own lives.
Of course he is too curious and wants to see how his old family will be saved, but the ending is also very disappointing. Meaningless and abrupt. Shame. It is a film that Netflix makes more often, an interesting idea wrapped in hot air.
